Mayor Sadiq Khan Set To Introduce Off-Peak Fares All Day On Fridays In A New Trial
Briefly

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has suggested the 'off-peak Fridays' initiative to TfL in a bid to encourage commuters to travel into the city at the end of each week. Lower fares would commence on Friday, March 8, should the move go ahead.
Off-peak hours run on weekdays from 6:30am to 9:30am and 4pm to 7pm. If these times fell under off-peak hours all of Friday, it would mean passengers heading from Zone 6 to Zone 1 could save £2 (£3.60 down from £5.60). An introduction of off-peak Fridays also means that anyone over the age of 60 will be able to enjoy free travel all day on Fridays.
