The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced he is extending the Pension Credit campaign for another year, demonstrating the scheme's success in increasing awareness and claims.
Since its launch in February 2023, the campaign has successfully identified eligible individuals, resulting in over 4,300 older Londoners claiming Pension Credit, translating to nearly £18m in additional income.
Older Londoners are facing cost-of-living pressures, making it essential to ensure they receive all available financial support, including Pension Credit and Winter Fuel Allowance.
The collaboration with 25 London boroughs is expected to reach over 12,500 households, with an additional £10m likely to be claimed in Pension Credit.
