Artur Seberger, 53, has been sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for sexually abusing two children aged 10 to 16 between 2005 and 2022. After the victims reported the abuse in 2024, police swiftly arrested him, leading to his conviction on 15 sexual offences, including inciting children to engage in sexual activity. Detective Constable Callum Boast praised the victims' courage and highlighted the timely police response, which included remanding Seberger after he breached bail conditions by harassing them. The investigation gathered substantial evidence, resulting in Seberger pleading guilty and avoiding trial, providing a measure of closure for the victims.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the victims in this case, who have been extremely courageous in coming forward to police and recounting the trauma of the years of abuse they suffered because of Seberger.
Over six months the team compiled numerous witness statements and third party evidence to create a compelling case which prompted the defendant to plead guilty avoiding a trial.
