Despite running for a pro-migration message, Kato encountered significant racism in Europe, stating, "We used to call migrants here to help society but now we are trying to push them away."
Kato emphasized the emotional toll of his run, saying he experienced doubts and physical exhaustion but received strong camaraderie from supporters, saying, "A lot of people stand alongside me and say, Let's go, let's go.'
On the impact of his experience with racism, Kato reflected, "I think that, in the future, we will create a world free from racial discrimination, although it won't happen in my lifetime."
