Man charged after another found with 'slash injury to his face'

Police were called to Hilldene Avenue at the junction of Newbury Road, Harold Hill, at about 5.16pm on August 15 to reports of a man stabbed. Emergency services found a 46-year-old man with a slash injury to his face, who was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital. Thankfully, his condition was assessed as non life-threatening and non life-changing, which should bring some relief to the local community after such a traumatic incident.
William Ring, 37, of Lakeside in Rainham has been charged with actual bodily harm and possession of points and blades. This charge follows his arrest in connection with the stabbing incident. Following the initial arrest, he was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 16, indicating that the legal process will continue to hold those responsible for violent actions accountable.
