A 34-year-old man from Kent, a 58-year-old man from west London and a 36-year-old woman from South Yorkshire were all arrested on suspicion of inviting support for a proscribed organisation, police said. The fourth suspect, a 49-year-old man from south London, was arrested on suspicion of the same offence when he was spotted protesting against the arrests.
Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met Counter Terrorism Command, said: "The vast majority of people attending protests are doing so peacefully. "There are consequences for those who are not and where officers see people supporting proscribed organisations we will take action, as we did this weekend."
