On Saturday, March 15, 2025, a special London Overground service will operate from London Bridge to West Croydon, providing commuters with access to central London during engineering works on the Windrush Line. TfL is implementing this service to mitigate the disruptions caused by train line closures. With trains running twice an hour, Rory O'Neill, TfL's General Manager for London Overground, encourages passengers to check travel updates. Although this service has been offered previously, it remains a noteworthy occurrence for train enthusiasts and commuters alike.
Due to engineering works, we have some part closures on the Windrush line on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March. To support our customers as much as we can, we are providing an additional service from West Croydon into London Bridge on the Saturday and a reduced service on the Sunday.
It's a rare chance to catch a London Overground train from London Bridge, as services into central London are usually limited due to engineering works on the Windrush Line.
