The London Marathon has raised a stunning £73.5 million ($98.28 million) for charity, marking the largest one-day fundraising event globally, surpassing 2019's record of £66.4 million.
Since its inception in 1981, the London Marathon has cumulatively raised over £1.3 billion, showcasing the commitment of its participants to charitable giving and community support.
Hugh Brasher, chief executive of the London Marathon, expressed gratitude to participants, stating, 'We salute every single participant who has contributed to this world record-breaking total.'
The official online fundraising partner, Enthuse, contributed significantly with a record £30 million raised through its platform during the marathon.
