One man used a sledgehammer on the front window while the other scooped valuables into a blue bag as staff inside tried to fend them off. The robbers ran along Paved Court toward Richmond Green and bystanders called police. A getaway vehicle has been recovered and is being examined. Gregory & Co described the incident as deeply upsetting, confirmed all customers' items were locked in safes, and thanked the public for overwhelming support. Superintendent Craig Knight said officers are pursuing several lines of inquiry to locate the suspects.
