A recent study analysed the 50 biggest party cities in the UK to find out which of them is the best and - unfortunately for us - which of them is the worst for a night on the town. Several factors were examined, and numbers were crunched... Each city was then given an overall 'party score' to determine the results - and spoiler alert: London did absolutely terribly.
London... came in at rock bottom, with a rather humbling score of just 5 out of 10. The study found London to be the most expensive city for a night out, with the average pint costing almost £7 and the average hotel costing £209.
Despite the large plethora of pubs, clubs and bars across the city, [London] gained its bottom place due to its expensive costs, highlighting the grave effect of the cost-of-living crisis on the country's nightlife economy.
On a slightly brighter note, the sunny(ish) seaside city of Brighton was hailed the best night out in the UK, boasting an impressive perfect score of 10 out of 10.
