Artistic director Chris Marney stated, 'I wanted to take the company in a new direction for this generation,' emphasizing the goal of modernizing the ballet experience.
Mr. Marney noted, 'there's a demand for ballet and there are many theatres around that are being underserved by dance companies travelling through them,' highlighting market gaps.
He mentioned, 'What we're finding on the road, is that audiences want it and audiences are coming to see us,' indicating the positive reception of the inaugural tour.
Marney expressed when asked about the direction, 'I wanted to relaunch the company to introduce people to dance,' showcasing a mission to engage new audiences.
