Call handlers received over 12,200 more 999 calls in July 2025 than in the same month a year earlier, with a 7% increase in 999 call outs.
Response times improved through a focus on hear and treat measures, enabling 27,500 Londoners to receive care without unnecessary hospital visits.
Changes to help paramedics grab equipment faster and improve patient handovers have also contributed to reduced response times for the LAS.
