Brent Council has warned that Lime e-bikes may be removed from the borough unless safety concerns, particularly regarding parking and accessibility, are adequately addressed.
The council indicated Lime must introduce dedicated parking bays and has urged for community engagement to resolve ongoing issues with abandoned and inconsiderately parked e-bikes.
Council leader Muhammed Butt voiced strong concerns, highlighting the negative impact of abandoned bikes on pedestrians and the additional pressure it places on council resources.
Residents, including those from the National Federation of the Blind UK, expressed concerns about the dangers posed by dockless e-bikes to disabled individuals and children.
