Julia Webb criticized successive owners of Livesey Hall for neglecting its upkeep, stating the building has deteriorated significantly since its opening in 1911.
According to the listing by Historic England, the war memorial at Livesey Hall is in 'poor' condition and is at immediate risk of further deterioration.
Webb expressed her emotional connection to the hall, and her commitment to preserving it for future generations, saying, 'I can't deal with any more of this attrition.'
She revealed her deep concern for a local woman whose father’s name has worn off the war memorial plaque, stating her desire to display his name 'decently' again.
