King Charles III inaugurated two food distribution hubs on his 76th birthday, expanding his Coronation Food Project aimed at addressing food poverty and surplus food waste through community engagement and charity partnerships.
The King's Coronation Food Project has already saved 940 tons of surplus food, which equates to 2.2 million meals distributed across the UK, highlighting the project's immediate impact on communities.
To date, $19 million has been raised, allowing for the development of a network of up to 10 hubs, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to improving food distribution and access across the United Kingdom.
In addition to the hubs, the project funds cold storage, transport, and drivers, essentially creating a more robust food supply chain to better serve those in need throughout the country.
