I've lived on 3 continents. Our town in Canada surpassed my expectations, but London let me down.
Briefly

The locals in Canada were incredibly welcoming, making it easy for me to integrate into the community. I felt an immediate connection with the people and the beautiful landscapes.
Living and working in Banff provided a sense of freedom and adventure that I hadn't experienced before. The combination of hiking, meeting new friends, and exploring the wilderness was truly fulfilling.
My move to London was filled with high hopes, but I quickly felt a sense of disappointment as it became clear that building a community was much tougher in such a sprawling city.
Despite the initial excitement of city life, I missed the simplicity and warmth of small-town living in the Rockies, where relationships felt more genuine and accessible.
