David Semark will be playing the role of Sir John Falstaff for the final three scheduled performances of Player Kings at the Noel Coward Theatre in London while Ian McKellen recuperates following his fall on Monday 17 June.
After McKellen's fall, the Lord Of the Rings star and Olivier award winner thanked everyone who had left messages of support, expressing gratitude to the National Health Service for diagnosing and treating his injuries.
A spokesperson for the London theatre expressed gratitude for the well wishes and reassured that Ian McKellen will have a complete and speedy recovery after scans by the NHS team.
