Havering councillors and volunteers worked together last Friday to uplift Hornchurch town centre by refreshing the planters with new plants, despite it being a late season.
Cllr Vincent mentioned, 'It is accepted it is a bit late in the season to plant up the planters, but they were looking in such a sorry state.'
The Green Streets team aims to rejuvenate Havering's streets by removing debris left in planters and planning future planting efforts in the spring.
Cllr Smith encouraged local shopkeepers to assist by watering the new plants during dry spells to ensure their survival through the changing seasons.
