Helicopter, police dogs and intelligence: How police tracked down Daniel Khalife
Briefly

Police dogs, a helicopter, and officers mobilized to search back gardens ultimately led to the capture of terror suspect Daniel Khalife, who escaped from HMP Wandsworth.
Khalife ingeniously strapped himself to the underside of a food catering truck to escape, claiming the sling he fashioned from kitchen trousers was easily overlooked.
After escaping on 6 September 2023, Khalife was only sighted two days later, which prompted a significant police response that included intelligence-led searches.
Despite Khalife's guilty plea regarding his escape, he continues to deny the other charges against him, including accusations of spying for Iran.
