Havering station to shut both its platforms this summer for refurbishment works
Briefly

Rainham station's platforms will be shut for four weeks this summer for essential refurbishment. From July 24 to August 23, platform one will close first, affecting services towards London, followed by platform two, impacting trains toward Grays. During this period, c2c will offer a rail replacement bus service every 15-30 minutes. c2c’s director emphasized the importance of this maintenance for safety and customer experience, noting the platforms' 50-year age and that staff will be available to assist travelers, particularly those requiring mobility help.
"We are very pleased to announce this work, as we recognise that customers in Rainham have been waiting for an improved customer experience at their station."
"The platforms at Rainham are around 50 years old and they need maintenance to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose."
