Waltham Forest council spent £7,200 on a statue of Harry Kane, depicting him sitting on a bench with a ball on his knee, finally unveiled at the Peter May Sports Centre.
Harry Kane expressed pride unveiling the statue: 'A real proud moment for me to go back to where my life in football began... I hope it helps inspire the next generation to work hard and believe in themselves.'
Following England's 5-0 victory over Ireland, Kane highlighted the impact of emerging young talents, noting the boost given by incoming coach Thomas Tuchel.
The statue's unveiling marks a significant milestone for Kane, who has always credited his beginnings in Waltham Forest as a pivotal point in his football journey.
