Emergency services were scrambled to Huntingtower Road in Sheffield at around 7.45 pm on Wednesday night where the girl was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to save her.
South Yorkshire Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) over the incident, and the girl's death is not being treated as suspicious.
