Duncan Bartlett, a former BBC journalist, was sentenced to eight years for paying to watch livestreams of children being sexually abused in the Philippines.
He pleaded guilty to 35 offences, including causing young girls to engage in sexual activity and making indecent images of children.
Detective Constable Emily Dawson emphasized the collaborative effort with the Philippines to safeguard children led to the arrest of several involved adults.
Bartlett's abhorrent behavior was meticulously documented over seven years, leading him to admit his guilt after police presented a strong case against him.
