Fire engines responded to a grass fire near the ruins of St Anthony's Chapel in Edinburgh after an alarm at about 6.50pm on Monday. The fire began in an area of vegetation and crews worked through the night to control it. By 6.30am on Tuesday, two fire engines remained at the scene. Smoke rose from the area, and local residents were told to keep windows and doors shut as a precaution. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred during a sunny spell, when the Met Office recorded a maximum temperature of 25C on Monday.
