London Mayor Sadiq Khan stated that to secure national funding for transport projects, TfL Tube and rail fares would need to increase in line with national rail fares.
The changes mean pay-as-you-go single fares will rise by 10p, reaching £2.80, with daily caps increasing to £8.90 for Zones 1 & 2 and £10.50 for Zones 1-3.
