Prescilla Bameko was discovered to have severely neglected her bulldog, Haze, leading to his starvation. A vet found foreign objects in his stomach, indicating a desperate search for food.
The court noted the vet's report indicating that Haze had suffered for several weeks and was in a critical condition upon admission, scoring just one out of nine on the body condition scale.
Due to the severity of the neglect and the breed-specific legislation in the UK, Haze was ultimately euthanized following his treatment at the animal hospital.
Bameko pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering and received a life ban from owning animals, reflecting the seriousness of her actions and the judicial system's stance on animal welfare.
