Will Weston-Smith, land director for Bellway Thames Gateway, emphasized the importance of meeting community needs, stating, "We have worked closely with Redbridge Council to ensure Kingsgate Park will meet the needs of the local community and are pleased that councillors have approved our plans... This development will provide hundreds of much-needed sustainable new homes within a vibrant new neighbourhood, with community facilities and commercial units delivered alongside the housing."
In discussing the home's energy efficiency measures, Weston-Smith stated, "The homes have been designed to be highly energy efficient, with low-carbon technologies employed to minimise their climate impact. Heating will be all electric, with individual air source heat pumps providing heat and hot water for the houses and heat pump cylinders providing hot water for the apartments."
