Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rodgers stated, “Hanif was an innocent member of the public whose life was tragically taken far too soon. This painful loss will forever affect his family.”
“We have made two arrests which is a positive step forward into building a picture of what happened on Sunday night,” DCI Mark Rodgers emphasized the urgency and importance of the investigation.
Police officials urged, “Despite the two arrests, we are appealing for anyone who was present in the area who may have seen or heard anything relating to this incident to please get in touch.”
The community's support was acknowledged; DCI Rodgers remarked, “I want to thank the community for their patience as we carried out all our relevant enquiries. Your support does not go unnoticed.”
