Croydon has been named the fifth most miserable place to live in the UK according to Rightmove's survey, which measures liveability factors among residents.
The study, now in its 13th year, asked over 35,000 people about their satisfaction with community elements like public transport, green spaces, and cultural activities.
Tim Bannister noted that younger residents, particularly Gen-Z, are most eager to relocate, highlighting a dissatisfaction with their current environment compared to older demographics.
Slough took the top spot as the most miserable location in the UK, with other areas like Bradford and Barking & Dagenham also ranking poorly in resident satisfaction.
