The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has announced an indefinite ban on contractors implicated in the Grenfell Tower fire, continuing efforts to address the tragedy's consequences.
The 92-page council document presented at the meeting emphasized that the inquiry revealed "catastrophic failures that occurred... in circumstances that were entirely preventable".
Elizabeth Campbell, RBKC's leader, stated the council fully accepts the inquiry's findings and aims to improve the organization for the benefit of the community.
In discussing the RBKC's response to the inquiry's report, Campbell stressed the importance of demonstrating commitment to the community in light of the disaster.
