The Patchworks scheme, located on the site of the former Homebase in Forest Road, is set to be completed in 2028, aiming to address housing shortages in Walthamstow.
Kevin Delve, managing director of Vistry East London, stated that these much-needed homes will make a real difference to local housing needs, showcasing the project's value for the community.
Deputy council leader Ahsan Khan emphasized the importance of providing low-cost rent options, ensuring local residents can live close to their families and support networks.
The development will be environmentally friendly, including energy-efficient buildings and over 130 trees, enhancing the area while meeting the high demand for housing.
