Cate Blanchett and Tom Burke will star in Duncan Macmillan and Thomas Ostermeier's new adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull at The Barbican in February 2025.
Duncan Ostermeier expressed his admiration for Blanchett, stating, 'I have known and admired Cate for many years, and to see her on stage is always a privilege.'
The production runs for six weeks and aims to highlight the themes of unrequited love and unfulfilled potential among artists in Chekhov's classic.
