Can you still use stamps with Queen Elizabeth II's head on? Royal Mail explains
Briefly

Royal Mail has introduced new postage stamps featuring King Charles III, leading to questions about the validity of stamps bearing Queen Elizabeth II's head. Non-barcoded first and second-class stamps cannot be used for postage anymore, while barcoded stamps remain valid. The Royal Mail's policy allows for an exchange program for non-barcoded stamps, ensuring they're not wasted. This transition follows a pre-established grace period designed to minimize disruption and waste, emphasizing the organization's commitment to managing the introduction of the new monarch's symbols in their postage system.
If the stamp has a barcode on it, you can still use it to send post. However, if the stamp... doesn't have a barcode on it, it can no longer be used for postage.
Following the release of the King's stamps... existing stocks of definitive stamps that feature Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be distributed and issued as planned and will remain valid for use.
If you do have stamps with the Queen's head on without a barcode, you can exchange them, this means they won't go to waste.
