Bus route saved - but 'council should never have had to fund it in the first place'
Briefly

Starting September 1, the 84B Potters Bar to Barnet bus service will be renamed the 243 and expanded northward to Hatfield. Initially funded by the Hertsmere Borough Council's Community Infrastructure Levy, this service has gained additional support from Hertfordshire County Council. Uno buses will provide the service, maintaining the same operational hours from Potters Bar to Barnet. Both Conservative and Labour council members recognized the successful community effort behind this initiative, attributing it to strong local advocacy and political will.
