Black-cab drivers wrongly sent penalty charges
Briefly

The Licensed Taxi Drivers' Association reported that many drivers received incorrect penalty charges for entering the Ulez or congestion charge areas, which they are exempt from.
TfL apologized for the penalties, attributing the errors to an IT glitch during a routine data upload, stating they were cancelling the wrong charges.
LTDA General Secretary Steve McNamara expressed concern for drivers fearing escalating penalties and bailiffs, highlighting an inability to reach TfL for support.
Previous errors in penalty charges were also noted, linked to a suspected IT hack on TfL, further exacerbating drivers' frustration and confusion.
