"Pedro is a powerful operator who has made a strong start to life here at Harlequins. He works hard at the set-piece to give us a solid platform to play from and continues to develop his scrummaging through close work with Adam Jones. Pedro also has the ability to make an impact in the loose on both sides of the ball, which is essential for a top-level tighthead."
"Pedro is a great person and a popular figure within the squad, and we're delighted he has committed his future to the club."
Argentina international prop Pedro Delgado has committed to Harlequins by signing a new contract with the Premiership club. The 28-year-old tighthead joined in October and has made 12 appearances, including scoring his first try for the club against Bayonne in the Champions Cup in December. Senior coach Jason Gilmore praised Delgado's powerful play at set-piece, his scrummaging development under scrum coach Adam Jones, and his loose play abilities on both sides of the ball. Gilmore highlighted Delgado's value as a top-level tighthead and noted his positive character within the squad. The specific length of Delgado's new contract remains undisclosed.
