Marc Allen, aged 37, is accused of robbing Errol Woodger of his Mercedes GLA and subsequently running him over with the vehicle, leading to Mr. Woodger's death.
In a recent court appearance at the Old Bailey, Woodger pleaded not guilty to murder and robbery charges related to the December 2019 incident that resulted in serious head injuries.
The court was informed that the alleged incident took place in the driveway of Woodger's Erith home, where he confronted Allen during the attempted theft of his vehicle.
Judge Rebecca Trowler KC scheduled a trial for March 24, 2024, after remanding Woodger into custody, with a case management hearing set for December 13.
