Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk acknowledged PSG's superiority after they eliminated Liverpool from the Champions League with a 1-0 victory at Anfield, winning on penalties. Even though Liverpool had won the first leg, Van Dijk noted that PSG, under Luis Enrique, played exceptionally well across both matches. He emphasized that the Ligue 1 team was the best they faced all season, acknowledging their resurgence after recent struggles. Despite the disappointment of exiting the tournament, Liverpool remains top of the Premier League and in contention for a double this season.
