Jonjo Shelvey, a former England midfielder, has announced his retirement from playing and will take over as manager of Arabian Falcons FC, a third-tier team in the UAE. Shelvey, 34, joined the Dubai club in September and aims to lead them to promotion in the final five games of the season.
