Having worked closely with Sarkic for over nine years, Marshall described him as 'like a son,' and this loss prompted a shift in his priorities. At 50 years old, he plans to focus more on family and friends. Marshall, notable for being the only Lions keeper to play in an FA Cup final, expressed gratitude for his time at Millwall while the club acknowledged his contributions and character in such challenging times.
Marshall explained, 'I have loved every minute of my time here, both as a player and as a coach. Events over the last year have completely changed my perspective on life.'
