QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes expressed mixed feelings following a 2-2 draw against Leeds United, where his team relinquished a 2-0 lead. The game saw goals from Koki Saito and Steve Cook, but Leeds equalized with an own goal and a strike from Jayden Bogle. Cifuentes praised his team's performance against a strong opponent, emphasizing their competitive spirit. Lucas Andersen noted the importance of initiating strong play and highlighted the team's resilience under pressure, indicating a promising character within QPR despite the outcome.
"Mixed feelings today. Definitely from one side we are disappointed to not take the three points after taking a lead of 2-0," Cifuentes told BBC Radio London after the game.
"It's always important to score the first goal and I think the way we did it, we tried to push forward and press them and we tried to get in behind when we had the chance," Andersen said.
