Michael Owen has identified two potential signings for Liverpool amidst contract uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez. Salah's future remains unclear with his contract expiring, and Nunez might also be on his way out following underwhelming performances. In light of Liverpool's recent struggles in attack, Owen recommends signing Newcastle's Alexander Isak, acclaimed for his scoring consistency. He also noted Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo as a promising, younger alternative. The competition for Isak will be fierce with Arsenal eyeing him as well, raising questions about Liverpool's prospects in the summer transfer window.
There's lots of alternatives out there but no-one can replace Mo Salah. There's no-one out there that is going to get his numbers.
I think if he (Salah) was to go, Liverpool would look to replace him or find another attacking player, because I think Darwin Nunez will probably go as well.
Alexander Isak would just be an incredible move if Liverpool could get him, but I'm sure virtually every team wants him and Newcastle are desperate to keep hold of him.
I like Antoine Semenyo at Bournemouth, who plays in the same position as Salah. I like him, a younger version, but definitely got energy, scoring capabilities and a good player.
