Liverpool legend set to leave Saudi Arabia two seasons after arriving from Anfield - report
Briefly

Roberto Firmino, the former Liverpool forward, is set to leave Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli to join Qatari side Al-Sadd. After being unregistered for the second half of the Saudi Pro League season, Firmino, who joined Al-Ahli in July 2023, is under contract until 2026. Known for his record of 111 goals for Liverpool, he led Al-Ahli to an AFC Champions League title, contributing significantly as captain. His performance in the Saudi league includes 12 goals and 10 assists in the 2024/25 season, although the club finished fifth that year.
Firmino joined Al-Ahli shortly after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which owns Newcastle United, took over four clubs in the country.
As captain for that campaign, Firmino started each of their last seven games in the competition, including two goals and three assists during the knockout stage.
The three-time Champions League finalist with the club started as Jurgen Klopp's team secured European Glory by beating Tottenham 2-0 in 2018/19.
Al Ahli finished third in Firmino's first season, helped by nine goals and six assists in 32 appearances by their captain, who was almost ever-present during the second half of the season.
