Liverpool agreed a deal to sign Cologne defender Sara Agrez on a free transfer. The 25-year-old will join on 1 July after spending two and a half years with the Frauen-Bundesliga side. Agrez is capped 57 times by Slovenia and made her international debut in 2019. She is a left-sided centre-back who started 23 of Cologne’s 26 league games as the club finished seventh. Before Cologne, she played for ZNK Mura in Slovenia and for German clubs Turbine Potsdam and Wolfsburg. Liverpool legend Gemma Bonner and defender Gemma Evans will leave when their contracts expire this summer.
