Stuart Pearce, a former England footballer and current pundit for talkSPORT, is recovering in a Canadian hospital after a medical emergency caused his Virgin Atlantic flight from Las Vegas to Heathrow to divert. Following an illness onboard, medical staff assisted Pearce when the flight landed in St John's. Commentator Sam Matterface reassured fans that Pearce remains in good spirits despite being disappointed about missing upcoming events. The flight was significantly delayed, arriving in London six hours late, carrying 255 passengers.
I spoke to him yesterday, he's in great spirits,
He actually said to me, 'I have got so much I had to cancel. Some great games and Mumford and Sons are playing on Wednesday night and I can't go now'.
Due to an unwell customer onboard, the VS156 on 2 March flying from Las Vegas to London Heathrow diverted to St John's International Airport, Canada and was met by the medical services.
