Calvin Ford, a great-great-grandson of the Ford Motor Company founder, has acquired the majority shares in Livingston Football Club from John McIlvogue, who is stepping down as majority shareholder. McIlvogue believes this is the right time for the transition as it heralds a new era for the club. Ford aims to enhance the club’s impact within the community, citing the strong leadership of current figures like manager Davie Martindale. His involvement is seen as a pivotal moment for both Livingston FC and the wider West Lothian region.
The time is now right to pass on my shares, and I believe Calvin Ford will bring a sea change to Livingston and the wider West Lothian community.
What drew me to wanting to be involved with LFC was the incredible leadership that people like manager Davie Martindale and John Ward portray.
