Millwall club captain Shaun Hutchinson will depart when his contract expires this summer, marking the end of a nine-year tenure with the club. Having joined from Fulham in 2016, Hutchinson made 268 appearances and scored 14 goals, with a significant one against Bristol Rovers that secured play-off qualification in 2017. Director of football Steve Gallen praised Hutchinsonâs leadership and contributions. Alongside Hutchinson, other players such as Murray Wallace, Duncan Watmore, and Aaron Connolly will also leave. Millwall is negotiating new deals for several players while confirming extensions for others.
On and off the pitch, Shaun has been a fantastic leader for many years and a great servant to Millwall. His goal must always be remembered as one of the biggest in our history.
Shaun will always be welcome at our football club, and we would all like to thank him for his outstanding contribution over the past nine years.
