Cardiff's $138m claim over Emiliano Sala's death dismissed

A French commercial court dismissed Cardiff's claims for over €120 million in compensation related to Emiliano Sala's death. The court ruled that Nantes was not at fault for the flight and that Cardiff did not suffer reputational damages. Cardiff's previous legal attempts, including rulings from FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport, had also failed. The court ordered Cardiff to pay €300,000 in damages and €180,000 in legal costs. The pilot of the aircraft, David Ibbotson, lacked the necessary qualifications to operate the flight.
