USPS dumps plan to send Reno-area mail processing to Sacramento
Briefly

The U.S. Postal Service has announced it will not proceed with plans to reroute Reno-area mail processing to Sacramento, a decision that alleviated local concerns.
Sen. Jacky Rosen stated, "The end of this misguided Washington plan is a huge win for our seniors, veterans, and every person in Northern Nevada who depends on timely mail delivery."
Democratic Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar emphasized that transferring operations could have significantly delayed mail ballots and disenfranchised thousands of Nevada voters.
This decision comes after widespread opposition as most Nevadans relied on mail-in voting, with 65% participating via mail in the recent June primary.
