These Bay Area tech giants' workers are flooding Kamala Harris with money
Briefly

Harris for President, the vice president's campaign committee, took over the accounts of President Joe Biden's committee when she took over the top of the Democrats' ticket after Biden withdrew in July.
As of the last reporting date, Aug. 21, the committee had pulled in a combined $3.8 million from workers at Apple, Meta and Google parent company Alphabet and their families, according to campaign finance tracker OpenSecrets.
The $2.2 million total donated to Harris by Alphabet employees - which includes everyone at Google, Waymo and YouTube - is the most any company's staff had contributed directly to either campaign, per the OpenSecrets data.
California-based employers dominated the rest of Harris' top 10 donors by company. Workers with the sprawling University of California system took Harris' No. 2 spot, followed by those at Microsoft, Amazon, Apple and then Meta.
